Probiotics are completely saving my health.....

I've been taking an insane amount of medication lately, and it has messed UP my stomach health, which has always been pretty shaky to begin with. I've had IBS for years and when probiotics first started being taking seriously (Thanks Jamie Lee Curtis!) I found my holy grail for my stomach. Unfortunately that meant at the time eating yogurt every single day or paying insane amounts of money for them in pill form. Since I've hard to start consuming a daily pharmacopoeia, my stomach has been more sensitive than ever. I had slacked on keeping up with my probiotics, but a few months ago I got back into the swing. I had been using another brand and was about to run out when thankfully True Sol sent me some to review and kept me on the straight and narrow. I had high hopes since I had previously been taking their phytoceramides.

There's so many benefits to these that my overall health has been persevering despite extenuating circumstances. They're easy to swallow, you only have to take them once a day (unlike some probiotics that need to be consumed multiple times a day to be effective and which I invariably forget to keep up with) and they're immediately effective. Bonus, they're very inexpensive compared to other brands. A months supply for less than one WEEK of brands I've gotten at the drugstore.

Probiotic 1150 is a digestive support formula that helps to maintain a healthy digestive balance, replenish healthy bacteria, and promote immune system health. Probiotics are good bacteria that are essential for many vital body functions. Probiotics promote stomach health, as the body needs beneficial bacteria for a variety of functions, including healthy digestion.

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain the natural balance of organisms (microflora) in the Intestines. The normal human digestive tract contains about 400 types of probiotic bacteria that reduce the growth of harmful bacteria and promote a healthy Digestive system. The largest group of probiotic bacteria in the intestine is lactic acid bacteria, of which Lactobacillusacidophilus, found in yogurt with live cultures, is the best known. Yeast is also a probiotic substance. Probiotics are also available as dietary supplements.

What are probiotics used for?

Many people use probiotics to prevent Diarrhea gas, and cramping caused by antibiotics. Antibiotics kill "good" (beneficial) bacteria along with the bacteria that cause illness. A decrease in beneficial bacteria may lead to digestive problems. Taking probiotics may help replace the lost beneficial bacteria. This can help prevent diarrhea.
A decrease in beneficial bacteria may also lead to other infections, such as vaginal yeast and urinray tract infections and symptoms such as diarrhea from intestinal illnesses.
Probiotics may also be used to:
  • Help with other causes of diarrhea.
  • Help prevent infections in the digestive tract.
  • Help control immune response (inflammation), as in Inflammatory bowel diease (IBD).
Probiotics are being studied for benefits in colon cancer, skin infections, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Are probiotics safe?

Most probiotics are like what is already in a person's digestive system. Some probiotics have been used for a very long time throughout history, such as in fermented foods and cultured milk products.

While I was provided with a trial product, I will not recommend a product that I don't like. My opinions are honest and all mine! #review
